Fellowship
Enhance your career!
Take your education and your career to the next level by earning your Fellowship. Special Care Dentistry Association offers three fellowship programs, sponsored by the American Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities, the American Association of Hospital Dentists and the American Society for Geriatric Dentistry. Eligibility and requirements vary. Already a Fellow? Take the next step by pursuing Diplomate Status in Special Care Dentistry.
Criteria
- Fill out the Application for Fellowship in ASGD, ADPD or AAHD
**All Fellowships will be recognized at the Annual Meeting following their pass date.
- Requirements:
- Applicants must be a regular member in good standing of SCDA for 2 years. (Note: Time as a student member does not count towards the two years.)
- All completed applications must be received 30 days before the exam date.
- Applicants must possess a DDS, DMD, or an internationally equivalent degree.
- All applications must contain 2 recommendation letters; one must be a fellow of the group that fellowship is being sought and one must be a professional colleague familiar with your clinical abilities. All letters should address your involvement, abilities, and accomplishments relevant to the fellowship being sought.
- Fellowship Maintenance: To keep your Fellowship active you must maintain your membership with SCDA and pay yearly maintenance fees.
